Cities and student life

Costs city by city, not country by country

Rent, food, transport and the monthly total in the student cities of nine countries — one city at a time, because a national average hides the gap.

There is no single right answer to "how much does Italy cost a month", because rent in Milan and rent in a smaller university town can differ by nearly double. So every article here takes one city: rent in a hall and outside it, food, a transport pass, health insurance and the monthly total, plus how realistic part-time work is in that particular city. If what you want is the whole first-year figure for a country rather than a month in one city, those articles live in the money and funding cluster instead.
