Where students actually live
Chayka and Levski sit closest to the universities and are the main student districts. Mladost and Vladislav Varnenchik are the cheaper residential areas. The Sea Garden and central districts cost more, especially in summer. ⚠️ Rents move seasonally — tourism pushes them up in summer, so getting an annual contract signed before September is worth real money.

Work, honestly
Between June and September there is genuine tourism work — restaurants, hotels, beach services — and English is useful in it. For the rest of the year opportunities thin out and Bulgarian is needed. In other words the income here is seasonal, not steady; budget on that basis.
