The Italian student appointment works backwards
For most visa routes you assemble a file, then hunt for a slot. Italy's university route inverts it. The embassy's notice is explicit: students who register properly on Universitaly are contacted by the visa application centre, at the address they used on that portal, to set up the appointment.

Which makes one field decisive
The email address on your Universitaly account is where your appointment invitation goes. Not the address on the university application. Not your agent's address. The one you typed there.
Three consequences worth acting on today:
- 1Check the spelling the day you register, character by character. A single wrong letter in a Gmail address does not bounce anywhere you will see.
- 2Use an address you personally control. If an agent registered you with their own inbox, your appointment invitation goes to them and your process now depends on their diligence rather than yours.
- 3Check spam weekly from the day you complete pre-enrolment. Bulk mail from a visa centre is exactly the shape of message a filter mishandles.

The deadline is a receiving deadline
The June 2026 notice named Thursday 30 November 2026 as the last day for the embassy to receive student visa applications tied to university pre-enrolment. Read that carefully: it is the date the embassy receives the application, not the date you decide to start.
Working backwards, everything upstream has to be finished with margin — attestation, translation, bank paperwork, insurance, the appointment itself. That is the whole point of the timeline from offer to boarding pass.

While you are waiting
The wait is the hardest part psychologically and the most useful part practically, because everything in the file can be finished before the invitation arrives.
- Get the documents attested in the right order. Italy accepts a Bangladeshi apostille, which shortens the chain: document attestation and apostille in Bangladesh.
- Get the funds evidence into the shape an officer expects, well before the appointment: bank statements for a European student visa.
- Buy insurance that meets the requirement rather than the cheapest policy available, and get the photographs done to the published specification.

If the email never arrives
Do not assume you were forgotten and do not start a second registration, which creates a duplicate rather than a solution.
- 1Verify the email address on your Universitaly account and correct it there if it is wrong.
- 2Search your spam and promotions folders for the visa centre's domain.
- 3Contact the visa application centre through the helpline published on its Bangladesh site, with your Universitaly reference to hand.
- 4If that produces nothing, write to the embassy's published address, once, with the reference in the first line.

What the appointment day looks like
The invitation names a date, a time and a centre. Everything after that is ordinary.

If you cannot attend the date you are given, say so immediately through the channel the invitation names. Silence is read as a no-show, and a no-show is a worse position than a reschedule request.
The offer you should refuse
Anyone charging for an earlier Italian student appointment is selling access to a process the embassy has said it manages through Universitaly registration. The Swedish embassy in Dhaka publishes an explicit warning about the same pattern on its own process, which tells you how common the pitch is in this market. Appointments in this system are not a commodity somebody in Dhaka can allocate to you.
The honest summary
For Italy's university route the appointment finds you, and the two things you control are the accuracy of the email address on Universitaly and the completeness of the file before the invitation lands. Everything else in this process is waiting, and waiting well means being ready on the day rather than starting on it.
