Where it is actually taught in English
Among the nine countries we work with, English-taught dentistry is a Hungarian and Bulgarian story.

Those bands are wide because the universities differ substantially, and dental tuition is generally higher than medicine at the same institution — the clinical equipment and materials are expensive. Treat any single number an agent quotes as unverified until you have opened the university's own fee page and read it yourself.
The real six-year arithmetic

⚠️ Dental students buy their own instrument kits, and in some universities that is a four-figure cost in the pre-clinical years. It appears in almost no cost comparison and it is real. Ask about it explicitly.
The spread in that total is enormous, and it is entirely driven by which university you choose. Two students can both say "I studied dentistry in Europe" with a hundred thousand euro difference between them.
Admission: the entrance exam is the filter
Dentistry follows the same pattern as medicine, and it is one of the few subjects where CGPA is not the main gate.

Application windows generally close in the summer immediately after HSC results, so the practical timeline is to start researching in April or May of your HSC year. Starting in August usually costs a year. The full document sequence is in the Hungary student visa guide and the Bulgaria guide.
Note the Bulgarian visa detail, because it surprises people: there is no Bulgarian embassy in Bangladesh, so the type-D application and interview happen in person in New Delhi. Budget the Indian visa, the travel and the time.
Dentistry is a regulated profession
The degree being recognised and you being allowed to work are two different things, in both directions.
In Europe. Dentistry is one of the professions covered by EU-wide recognition arrangements, so a dental qualification earned in an EU member state is recognised across the Union. But recognition of the qualification is not a licence: you still register with the national dental authority of the country you want to work in, and in practice you must work in the national language, because you will be taking a medical history from a patient and explaining a treatment plan. A Hungarian dental degree taught in English does not make you employable in a Budapest clinic without Hungarian.
In Bangladesh. Practising requires registration with the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council, which for a foreign graduate normally means the institution being on the BM&DC recognised list, a one-year internship at an approved Bangladeshi hospital, and passing the registration qualifying examination, held roughly twice a year.
Do this verification before you apply, not after you graduate. Open the BM&DC recognised list and confirm the specific university is on it. Rankings, "WHO listed" claims and agency assurances are not evidence of BM&DC recognition. After five or six years and a six-figure sum, this is the cheapest insurance you will ever buy.
Who this suits, and who it does not
A good fit if your genuine budget clears roughly EUR 70,000 at the low end, your biology and chemistry are strong enough for the entrance exam, and you have made a deliberate decision about whether you are building a career in Europe or returning to Bangladesh.
A poor fit if you are treating it as a cheaper backup after missing a dental seat at home — the arithmetic does not support that — or if the plan quietly assumes you will practise in Europe without ever learning the national language.
Cheaper routes in the same sector
If the goal is healthcare rather than dentistry specifically, nursing and public health and pharmacy are one- and two-year master's routes at a fraction of the cost, and MBBS in Bulgaria has the same structure with a different price.
Before you apply
- 1Open the fee page of every university on your list and write down the six-year total, including instrument kits.
- 2Check the BM&DC recognised list for each institution before you pay any deposit.
- 3Sit a past entrance paper in biology and chemistry now — it tells you more about your chances than any counsellor.
- 4Plan your application for April to August of your HSC year, not later.

Is a European dental degree valid in Bangladesh?+
The degree is recognised in the EU, but practising in Bangladesh requires separate registration with the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council — normally the institution being on its recognised list, a one-year internship at an approved hospital, and passing the registration qualifying examination. Verify the university against that list before you apply.
Do I need an entrance exam for dentistry in Hungary or Bulgaria?+
Almost always. A written examination in biology and chemistry, in English, is the standard selection filter and matters more than your CGPA. Several universities now run it remotely. Some programmes also assess manual dexterity at interview.
Can I practise dentistry in Europe after graduating there?+
You would still need to register with the national dental authority of the country where you want to work, and in practice you need the national language, because you take patient histories and explain treatment plans in it. An English-taught degree does not remove that requirement.
